Seas the Waves

How do you print 22 large posters without a use of any digital media or technology?

The challenge was to print consistent text and texture on all 22 posters in one day. Our goal was to leave behind the screen and machines and to ustilize the natural resources that are around us. Since we live in long beach, we were curious to see how we can express the waves of the sea on our posters.

Cyanotype is a photographic printing process that produces a cyan-blue print. We use cyanotype meathod with the natural resorces like the sunlight, the sea and sand. After a few trials and errors, we were able to print the blue waves of sea and the text onto our posters.
